eCommerce responsibilities

Your accounts. Your day-to-day business.

You own the website, Shopify store and Meta and Google ad accounts. You manage products and listings, prices, inventory, orders, fulfilment, customer service and day-to-day store operations. Connected Commerce includes North Shield managing marketing and technical connections within the agreed scope, not operating your store. Product Website and Online Store do not include ad management.

You pay Shopify subscriptions, payment and transaction fees, app fees, other platform fees and any ad spend separately and directly to the providers.

Connections, product catalog sync and automated handoffs depend on supported tools, plans and eligibility. Channel, account and product approvals are third-party decisions and are not guaranteed. Third-party outages and policy changes are outside our control.

The free working website preview shows the website design and product presentation before you buy. It does not promise a functioning Shopify checkout, live selling-channel connections or Meta or Google approval. Paid setup, purchase-path testing and launch happen after you approve the agreed scope.

Fair for both of us

Reasonable use

Routine care, not ongoing production

Monthly Care & Maintenance is designed for reasonable, routine updates to the existing website or connected system. Requests that become unusually frequent, repetitive, complex, urgent, or collectively amount to ongoing production or new development fall outside routine care. In those situations, North Shield may group or schedule the work, recommend a more suitable service level, or provide a separate quote before proceeding. We will discuss this with you first.

How the 72-hour target works

The 72-hour target applies to accepted routine requests. It begins once you have supplied the information, access and approval we need to do the work. It is a working target, not an unconditional guarantee.

Sending repeated messages about the same request does not restart or shorten the target. Complex requests, missing access, third-party reviews, outages and out-of-scope work may take longer, and we will tell you when that is the case.

Ownership stays with you. The base Foundation package covers the website only. On Growth System you own and operate your platforms and ads while North Shield maintains the existing connections. On Managed Revenue North Shield proactively manages and improves the system, and you still own every account. Ad spend and third-party subscriptions are always separate.
